Aujourd'hui, j'ai reçu les petits mots 

que les visiteurs ont laissé dans le livre d'or 

à l'exposition Mary Poppins.

C'était à Saint Sylvain d'Anjou,

le mois dernier.

Today, I received the comments
that visitors have left in the guestbook
during the Mary Poppins' exhibition.
It was in Saint Sylvain d'Anjou,
last month.

Ça m'a beaucoup touché d'avoir un retour comme celui-ci.

Surtout en ce moment, où je trouve que les gens sont avares de mots...

moi la première d'ailleurs... 

par timidité ou maladresse...

par peur du ridicule?

Especially now, when I think people are stingy with words ...
So am I, in fact ...
shyness or awkwardness ...

Drawings...

Lately I've been drawing a lot...

I was asked to illustrate a book of piano and saxo scores...

so I had to get the lead out ;)

Actually the real black lead kind of freezes me...

that's weird... I can't draw with it...

The blue lead saved me ;)

So I have a whole bunch of little drawings like these...

I'll show them to you little by little.

Two of them have been especially drawn for a group show

at Curiosités.

It will start next Monday.

These past few days, I ve been working on a painting and 

on a kokeshi for the "Lacrimosa" show at "Galerie Curiosités".

I'm quite happy with the results! 

It makes me feel good to paint just for me ( and you ;) )

Sky Doll Tribute à la Gallery Nana

Ces derniers temps j'ai travaillé sur un hommage
à la bd "Sky Doll" de Barbucci et Canepa,
pour l'exposition qui se tiendra à la Gallery Nana, à Paris.

Those past few days I have been working on a tribute to
"Sky Doll" comic by Barbucci and Canepa,
for the exhibition to be held at Gallery Nana in Paris.





Cette fois-ci, j'ai choisi une Sky Doll, comme Noa, mais au destin différent.
This time, I chose a Sky Doll, like Noa, but with a different fate.

Ces idées de fantasme et de poupée me font penser à Pygmalion et Galatée.
Alors imaginez juste, quelque part sur Papathea,
qu'un Pygmalion tombe fou amoureux de la poupée
qu'il a lui-même confectionné, et que cette poupée,
grâce à une ancienne déesse, prenne vie.

These ideas of fantasy and dolls remind me of Pygmalion and Galatea.
So just imagine, somewhere on Papathea,
a Pygmalion falling deeply in love with the doll
he crafted himself, and that this doll
thanks to an ancient goddess, comes to life.

et beaucoup d'autres.
Beaucoup d'entre nous seront au vernissage le samedi 13 Novembre,
avec bien sûr Allessandro Barbucci et Barbara Canepa!

Many artists are taking part in this tribute
to honor this comic 10th anniversary :

Many of us will be attending the opening on Saturday, November 13,

"Erzebeth"

Voici ma petite" Erzebeth".

Erzebeth, comme la comtesse hongroise de la famille des Bathory.
Je ne sais pas si vous la connaissez
mais la légende dit que la "Comtesse Dracula"
avait pour habitude de tuer et de se baigner
dans le sang de jeunes vierges afin de rester éternellement jeune...

C'est un tableau de Tom Bagshaw
qui m'a inspiré cette vision de la Comtesse avec sa toile "Kuchisake Onna".
Un autre personnage de légende fort sympathique lui aussi ;)

Demain si vous êtes sages, je vous montrerai mon dernier dessin sur Tintoretto!

Et puis, dans une semaine je serais à Hanovre pour le vernissage à la Nice/Nice Gallery. J'espère vous y rencontrer :)

Here is my little "Erzebeth.

Erzebeth, as the Hungarian Countess from the Bathory's family .
Do you know her?
The legend says that the "Countess Dracula"
used to kill and bathe in the blood of young virgins to remain eternally young ...

It is a picture of Tom Bagshaw who inspired me this vision of the Countess with his painting "Kuchisake Onna". Another very nice and sweet legendary figure ;)

Tomorrow if you're kind, I'll show you my latest drawing on Tintoretto!

And don't forget, in a week I'd be in Hanover for the opening at the Nice / Nice Gallery.

Cave Gallery Show ....
